A day at the zoo.

Yesterday Grandma & Grandpa took the clan to the NC Zoo. This is a pretty decent zoo with the lions, elephants, rhinos, and primates that one would expect. When it first opened in the 70's they literally had cages of robins and rodents. It's come quite a way but it's not San Diego or the Bronx.

Since it was one of the first 80+ degree days of spring and "Earth Week" (not only did Al Gore invent the internet, now we can thank him for making earth day a whole week), the zoo was packed. Because this is Noth-Cacalacki that we're talking about, the wildlife was not only found behind the fences; we could have had as much fun people watching but it might have been disturbing for the kids.

Here are some pics. Sadly, K1 took the best of the days photos so she isn't in any of them. Tomorrow we go back to wage war with the Passport LOLTS.
Enjoying pre-zoo PB&J.
