There is a great shop on post called The Chosun Gift Shop. They get items in from Thailand, China, Japan, and The Philippians (I think).... They don't sell items from Korea, that way they are not in competition w/the local economy. All of the proceeds go to charity and it's split b/t Korea and the U.S.
I went there on Wednesday with some ladies and I found a great vase for only $10.00!
The store is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays..... So much shopping..... so little time.....

Oh this whole Korea thing is turning out to be so much fun for you! And for me - because I get to shop vicariously through you. And get rained on. And eat meat on a stick.
